Setup Bamboo in ClaudeClaude

Get started

Bamboo gives Claude a marketing brain — your team’s docs and decisions, versioned in a workspace your team owns — plus the skills and agents that work from it.

Setup wires four things, brain first: a doc source such as Google Drive, Bamboo’s MCP server so agents can reach that brain, a telemetry endpoint that feeds session transcripts back so the brain keeps improving, and a Claude plugin that keeps Bamboo’s skills in Claude and improving. Connecting your own GitHub org is optional — it puts the workspace repo in your org rather than ours.

  2. Set Add to — the organization, or one brand.
  3. Switch to the Connect tab and select your doc source, e.g. Google Drive.
  4. Connect that source and authorize the account that can see the folder.

Agents can reach the brain and tools

Lets your agents reach the Bamboo brain and tools once the plugin is installed.

  1. In Claude settings, open ConnectorsAdd custom connector.
Note: may be restricted to Claude org admins.
  2. Paste the server URL below, then click Add.https://mcp.withbamboo.com/mcp
  3. Click Connect on the new connector and sign into Bamboo.

Onboard MCP

Set up in ClaudeClaude User

One prompt sets Claude up for Bamboo

  1. Start a new chat in Claude and click +.
  2. Under Connectors, open Add from bamboo.
  3. Pick Onboard Bamboo.
No bamboo in that menu? Finish Connect MCP first — that is what puts it there.
  4. Send Follow these instructions as your message. Claude takes it from there.
Claude will not act on a prompt's contents until you ask it to — that guard is what stops a prompt from injecting instructions on its own.
    Follow these instructions

Telemetry

Set up in ClaudeClaude Admin

Confirms Cowork is reporting back to Bamboo

Feeds session transcripts back so the brain can spot the context it was missing and the enablement its users need — the loop that makes it self-improving rather than static.

  1. In Claude org settings, open CoworkMonitoring.
We drop every row from an email that is not tied to a Bamboo account. If you would rather collect this on your own webhook and forward it to us, that works too.
  2. Add the Bamboo telemetry endpoint into OTLP endpoint.
Ask a Bamboo org admin for the URL from their dashboard.
  3. Set OTLP protocol to http/json and save.

Agent

Connect GitHub

Set up in BambooGitHub Admin

Use your own GitHub org for the workspace repo

Gives Bamboo a workspace repo to store your agents' brains (context) — versioned, reviewable, and yours.

  1. Open the Bamboo app and go to Settings → Connections.
  2. On the GitHub row, click Set up, then pick whether you or your eng team installs the app.
  3. Step 1: create a private workspace repo from the Bamboo template.
  4. Step 2: install the Bamboo GitHub App, choosing Only select repositories and picking the repo you just created.
  5. Step 3: paste that repo owner/name back in to link it.
